Roles and Responsibility

Overview

Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to our clients for Mac, Windows and Linux systems. This position is for the candidate who has more experience on Mac System Administration(mandatory), Windows(required), and Linux (preferred).

To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. You should also be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques. Help to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems and basic troubleshooting of networking and security.

 

  • Address all issues regarding hardware, software and networking.
  • Installation of OS, applications and computer peripherals like printers and scanners.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop to ensure all systems network connections and software are functioning smoothly.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Mac systems and guide users on queries and issues related to hardware/peripherals and software.
  • Train end users on usage of computer hardware and software.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.

 

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting Mac, Windows and Linux systems.
  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of MAC is very much mandatory. Must be proficient with the MAC environment, OS configuration, troubleshooting, and knowledge of applications including iWork, Parallels, Apple Remote Desktop
  • Comprehensive understanding of Mac OS architecture. Able to perform command line troubleshooting to resolve individual application failures.
  • Experience with utilizing JAMF for MAC management and imaging.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication skill and Customer-oriented attitude.
  • Certifications:- Apple Mac:-ACMT/ACSP, Microsoft:-MCP/MCSE, Networking:-CCNA, Tech Support:-HDI-CSR
  • Engineering Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or relevant field.
